Our Founder and Her Vision

The Janice Seagraves Family Foundation was founded by Janice Seagraves using her winnings from the Powerball Lottery. On Christmas Day 1996, Ms. Seagraves won the Powerball drawing. Hoping to make a lasting impact in the community, Ms. Seagraves used her winnings to set up The Janice Seagraves Family Foundation to help future generations of Idahoans.

Since 2001, the Foundation has awarded grants to a variety of organizations around the Magic Valley and beyond. Although Ms. Seagraves is no longer with us, her legacy lives on through the Foundation and its governing Board of Directors.
